I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this hat! It is the perfect blend of practicality AND style, and it exceeded all my expectations to officially become the most amazing hat (possibly ever) for a beach vacation. The brim is wide enough to truly cover the face and neck while out in even the most glaring sun, and the wire inside of it allows for customizing the shape and exposure. Unlike with most hats, the top of my head never got overheated due to the nicely disguised mesh venting, and the detachable chin string was great for windy days. I received a lot of compliments on it from strangers, and it has a good bit of old-school glamour despite it being a sun hat, especially with the contrasting fabric underneath the brim that just elevates it to the next level. It also packed (and unpacked) wonderfully and seems very durable, so it was exactly what I needed.I will say that it runs a little on the large size (so if you have a tiny head, you're going to swim in it), but the extra room was a pleasant surprise for me because I could put my hair up in a ponytail under the hat and then it fit just fine (without squeezing my brain...ladies with thick or long hair, you know how irritating that is with tight-fitting hats).I ordered my first one in grey (from a different seller, but same exact hat) and loved it so much that I couldn't resist buying the black one from this seller (at a significantly better price). Five stars, highly recommend!!!Fabric is permanently wrinkled.The lining shredded when laundered.I just love this hat it's lightweight I bought a black one and a cream colored off-white both have the mesh band at the top allowing air to flow through I've already washed the black one and it Held up beautifully in the machine I'm just so impressed it's passed every test I don't often write reviews but this hat I bought one for my daughter and my sister five star definitely I love it best son hat I've ever had
