First off, I'm a walker, not a hardcore runner. I do some jogging, but nothing exhaustive. That may alter your outlook.However, I will say I have honestly never loved a shoe this much. I have extremely high arches. This can make any shoe murder on me if it doesn't have good support. Normally I have to outfit anything I buy with arch support. If you pound pavement hard in these, you'll probably still want some arch support in there, but for just strolling, these are great.I got these and they fit instantly. Never had a shoe do that. And they come with decent laces, which was a nice boon.The one thing I'll say is make sure you're lacing these correctly. I'd suggest using the extra eyelet to weave the laces so they fold over the top of your foot and redistribute pressure. I'd post a link to how to do this, but I'm fairly certain Amazon would take it down. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look up "Lace Lock" or the like for an explanation. Makes a world of difference.**Update**Just to let you know, these have held strong for a year and a half and are still kicking around. No splits or problems with them at all. Again, I only use these for walking and hiking, but I do one or both on a daily basis, so these have some miles.Will be buying these again when this pair runs out. Or, I'll get them now and keep them for when I need them.
