This is a great, amazing, nice quality steampunk top hat - for kids or tiny heads. I got it for my 11yo daughter and it fit her perfectly . . . which means it is really small. The quality is great tho. Apparently we got lucky & it arrived undamaged. The banding is smooth and comfortable. The embellishments are on point & well finished. The feather & gears bit is actually a hair clip which is great for when she gets tired of wearing the hat she can still have some detail in her hair. The goggles come off too and are adjustable to wear like a headband. They are super dark so I would not suggest actually wearing them. We added a few more gear embellishment and some 'stitched' leather patches to rustic it up a bit more. Please make sure you measure and check the size chart before ordering. The circumference of my head 22" & this hat is too small for me to wear - it just sits on top but will tip over if I turn my head. I could add a couple loops to the underside to secure it with bobby pins or a hat pin if I do my hair in an up-do. The sizing listed is wrong for the particular style that I chose - I do not think it will fit many 'average' size adult heads. BUT other than that it is a great hat and actually perfect for my daughter.I'd say I have an average size head and this hat fit perfectly! Didn't need to make any adjustments. I received tons of compliments when I went to my local Renaissance fair. The material is even better than the hats they sell you in brick and mortar costume stores AND it's cheaper priced.The hat looks great in all aspects except the fact that Amazon likey crushed and ruined the hat. There various creases left on each pictured area and will now need to look up how I can fix itIt’s a nice hat for a steampunk outfitIt's flimsy. I was expecting something a bit sturdier. It seems like it's made from cheap cardboardy felt. It came bent in the wrong places, probably from being stored in a smaller box. I'm hoping I can re-shape it, but based on how thin it is and how cheap the material is, I don't think I'll be able to.update, I found some metallic brass colored that I cut and used to shape the brim. It works because of the "steam punk" theme, but that cost another $20 bucks at the hardware store that I shouldn't have to pay just to shape the brim.Awesome hat.Was damaged before shipping. Bought 2 hats both damaged. I fixed one, the other too squished to fix, so returned. Cheaply made.Item far too small for adult head. Will not fitI simply adore this hat. It is a perfect fit, well made and arrived safely and speedily. I wore this today for a Steampunk event and had so many compliments. I love the butterfly detail which adds colour and is a talking point.For anyone thinking of buying something a little more feminine but still on a Steampunk theme then go for this hat. One of my best buys.It came inside three plastic bags, they didn't bother to put it in a box, already bent in different places and with the cog that was meant to be glued to the googles loose. Less than 24 after, another cog has fallen.I absolutely love this steampunk hat, it looks lovely on, I was unsure what size to order so just went with the "one size" which fits perfectlyI bought this when it was on Promotion so I also got a free steampunk brooch which was also lovely and of good qualityPackaging was very good and I received it without any damage. Would definately recommendThis is a a hat and was slightly crushed as it was in a bag - it could have been in a box which would had offered more protection.The product is fine apart from being slightly bent.Beautiful hat. Ordered in plenty of time for a Halloween wedding, but arrived before the estimated delivery date anyway. Would definitely buy from this seller again.
