The hats are adorable. Our granddaughter is 9 weeks old and 14 lbs. Her head is of adverse size. We bought these hats because needs as much sun protection as we can give her. The hats have an adjustable toggle in the back, just above the brim. It adjusts to fit her head perfectly. The front brim is certainly large enough to shade her face from the sun & the back flap hangs down her back so that even if she has her bathing suit on her back is mostly covered. This is the preface summer solution.Love these hats. Used them for our 5 month old on a sunny holiday. Fit was perfect. The adjustable drawstring means they can be used in the future too!Excellent quality; cool lining and excellent sun coverage. The little floater is a nice touch, but we didn't need it, as the hats stayed on beautifully. Just went through the first wash after a week of use - good as new.Would definitely purchase these again and recommend!This hat was perfect for my two 1/2 year old granddaughter.
