Three Hats for Lisa is available here in a brand-new transfer from the original film elements. French movie pin-up Sophie Hardy is Lisa Milan, a gorgeous Continental film star who's just arrived at Heathrow. She's in London for the premiere of her latest film, but within minutes she's been whisked away by her number-one fan, Johnny Howjego and his Cockney pals Sammy, Flora and cabbie Sid. The film traces the quartet's adventures as they take in the capital's iconic sights and sounds in the pursuit of three very important and typically British souvenirs for Lisa: a bowler, a busby, and a policeman's helmet! ...Three Hats for Lisa ( 3 Hats for Lisa )

Three Hats for Lisa [DVD]I too have been waiting years for this since I saw it only once, in color on ad free Australian TV, in the 1970s. Much is set in the Bermondsey area of east London and the old East India Docks. The main song is Bermondsey and I had the idea this might have been an alternative name for the film. Sid James(would have been 100 in May 2013) is the taxi driver in this film and stars alongside Af Garnet's TV daughter, Una Stubbs and pop singer Joe Brown. And I do like musicals and only thinking again about this film in the past week and my prayers were answered. I think I will still like this film after all those years. Now that Network is releasing a cleaned up version of The Elstree Story, let's hope they will release the 1930 film, Elstree Calling which has scenes in color. Also the film has many older & then current music hall-type performers like Lily Morris & Cicely Courtneidge.Thank you Network
